Walter Blattmann (cyclist)

Walter Blattmann (born September 10, 1952) is a retired Swiss professional cyclist.

Blattmann competed professionally from 1975 to 1983. He was primarily a road cyclist, known for his strong climbing abilities. One of the highlights of his career was winning the Swiss National Road Race Championship in 1977. He also achieved several stage wins and high overall placings in various European stage races. Blattmann represented Switzerland in several World Championships. Following his retirement from professional cycling, he remained involved in the sport at an amateur level and as a cycling coach. His career is remembered within Swiss cycling history as a period of strong domestic competition.
