Waikiki (band)
Waikiki was a Belgian indie pop band active primarily in the late 1990s and early 2000s. They were known for their melodic songs, often featuring prominent use of keyboards and layered vocals. The band's sound blended elements of dream pop, twee pop, and electronic music.
Waikiki consisted of members Els Pynoo (vocals, keyboards), Dominique Van Cappellen (bass), Mario Goossens (drums), and Reinert D'Haene (guitar).
The band released several albums, including "Mine" (1997), "Here is no Why" (2000), and "A View on Love" (2002). They achieved some success in Belgium and other parts of Europe, gaining a reputation for their live performances.
Following their active period, the members of Waikiki pursued other musical projects. Els Pynoo went on to form the band Elle et Moi.
