Visio.M

The Visio.M was a research project at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) focused on developing a low-cost, energy-efficient electric vehicle for urban environments. The project aimed to address challenges related to individual mobility in cities, such as traffic congestion, air pollution, and parking scarcity.

The Visio.M project involved several chairs and research groups within TUM, collaborating on various aspects of the vehicle's design and development, including lightweight construction, electric powertrain, vehicle dynamics, and safety systems. Key goals included minimizing energy consumption, maximizing range, and ensuring affordability for a broad range of consumers.

The project's outputs included a functional prototype vehicle that demonstrated the feasibility of the developed technologies. The Visio.M project contributed to advancements in electric vehicle technology, particularly in the areas of lightweight design, energy efficiency, and low-cost manufacturing, and helped inform future research and development efforts in the automotive industry. While a specific production vehicle was not ultimately released under the "Visio.M" name, the knowledge and technologies developed were intended to be transferred to industry partners for potential commercialization. The project was publicly funded and aimed at fostering innovation in sustainable mobility.
