Dave Herman (fighter)
Dave Herman (born May 3, 1984) is an American mixed martial artist. He has competed in various promotions, including the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Bellator MMA, and ONE Championship. Herman is known for his aggressive fighting style and his history of controversial statements.
Herman began his professional MMA career in 2006. He gained notoriety primarily through his fights in smaller promotions, building a reputation for finishing fights quickly.
He signed with the UFC in 2011, making his debut against John Olav Einemo at UFC 131, winning by TKO. Following his UFC debut, Herman faced Stefan Struve at UFC on Fuel TV 1, losing by TKO. He subsequently fought Roy Nelson at UFC 136, losing by TKO, and Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 153, losing by submission. He was released from the UFC after his loss to Nogueira.
Following his UFC stint, Herman competed in Bellator MMA and various other organizations. He has continued to fight sporadically.
Herman has a professional MMA record consisting of wins and losses, with a significant portion of his victories coming by way of knockout or submission. He has also been involved in controversies outside the cage.
