Vinny Paz

Vinny Paz (Vinny Pazienza), born Vincent Edward Pazienza (December 16, 1962), is an American former professional boxer. He held world titles at lightweight, light middleweight, and super middleweight. Pazienza is known for his resilience and determination, particularly after suffering a serious neck injury in a car accident in 1991 that threatened to end his career. He defied medical advice and, after undergoing a controversial halo brace procedure, returned to boxing thirteen months later. His comeback is regarded as one of the most remarkable in sports history. He officially retired from boxing in 2004.
