Risøyhamn

Risøyhamn is a village and the administrative center of Andøy Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located on the southern tip of the island of Andøya.

Risøyhamn is an important transportation hub, serving as a port of call for the Hurtigruten coastal express route. The Risøysundet strait, which separates Andøya from the smaller island of Hinnøya, is very narrow at this point. A bridge, the Andøy Bridge, connects Risøyhamn to Hinnøya and the mainland. The Risøyrenna canal, located just north of the village, allows larger ships to pass through the strait.

The village is historically significant as it has been a trading post and fishing village for centuries. Today, in addition to transportation and fisheries, Risøyhamn also has some service industries and tourism.
