Vic Akers
Vic Akers (born 1946) was an English football kit manager, equipment manager, and coach best known for his long and successful tenure at Arsenal Football Club.
Akers joined Arsenal in 1983 and served as the club's kit manager for over 30 years, retiring in 2014. He was responsible for all aspects of the team's kit, including ordering, distribution, and maintenance. His role extended far beyond simply managing the kit; he was a trusted and respected figure within the club, known for his dedication, attention to detail, and strong relationships with players and staff. He was a fixture in the Arsenal dugout during matches.
Alongside his kit management duties, Akers also served as Arsenal's reserve team coach for a significant period. In this role, he helped develop young players and prepare them for first-team football. He was known for his passionate coaching style and his commitment to nurturing talent.
