Hipkiss
A hipkiss is a choreographed or improvised movement, primarily in partner dancing, where one partner uses their hip to initiate contact with the other partner, usually to guide or propel them into a new position or direction. The contact is typically brief and controlled, using the bony prominence of the hip. Hipkisses are often found in social dance styles like salsa, bachata, and some forms of swing dancing. The movement can range from subtle nudges to more pronounced shifts of weight and momentum. Safety and clear communication between partners are essential when executing hipkisses. Improper execution can lead to discomfort or injury.
