Variant (magazine)
Variant was a Danish cultural studies magazine published from 1997 to 2008. It was known for its interdisciplinary approach, covering topics ranging from philosophy and sociology to art, literature, and media studies. Variant aimed to provide a critical and nuanced perspective on contemporary culture and society, often focusing on issues of power, identity, and globalization. The magazine published both original articles and translations of works by prominent international thinkers. While originally published in print, later issues and the archive became primarily accessible online. Its closure in 2008 was attributed to financial constraints.
