Ivar Bae

Ivar Bae (born July 14, 1921, died 2007) was a Norwegian mathematician and statistician. He is best known for his work in actuarial science and insurance mathematics. Bae held a professorship at the University of Oslo, where he made significant contributions to the development of statistical methods used in the insurance industry. His research focused on risk theory, stochastic models for insurance claims, and the application of statistical techniques to pricing and reserving in insurance.
