Titjikala

Titjikala (also known as Tjitjikala) is a small Aboriginal community located in the Northern Territory of Australia, approximately 130 kilometres (81 miles) south of Alice Springs. It is situated on the Stuart Highway and is within the MacDonnell Regional Council.

The community is predominantly made up of Arrernte people, the traditional owners of the land. The Arrernte language is widely spoken, alongside English.

Titjikala has a small population and provides essential services to its residents, including a school, a health clinic, and a general store. Aboriginal art and craft production is a significant economic activity in the community, with paintings and carvings reflecting traditional stories and cultural heritage.
