VSK-94
The VSK-94 (Войсковой Снайперский Комплекс, ВSK-94; literally "Military Sniper Complex, VSK-94") is a 9x39mm silenced sniper rifle developed in Russia. It is based on the 9A-91 compact assault rifle and was designed for special operations units requiring a lightweight and easily concealed weapon.
The VSK-94 shares many features with the 9A-91, including a short-stroke gas piston operating system and a rotating bolt. It utilizes a tubular steel receiver and a skeletonized stock. The integral suppressor significantly reduces the rifle's acoustic signature, making it suitable for covert operations.
The rifle fires the 9x39mm subsonic cartridge, offering good penetration against body armor at short to medium ranges. It is typically equipped with a 4x optical sight, although it can also mount other optics or iron sights. The VSK-94 is fed from a 20-round detachable box magazine. Its compact size, silenced operation, and effective ammunition make it a specialized weapon for urban warfare and reconnaissance missions.
