Gary Grant (basketball)

Gary Grant (born April 21, 1965) is an American former professional basketball player. A 6'3" (1.90 m) point guard, Grant played college basketball for the University of Michigan Wolverines. He was selected by the Seattle SuperSonics with the 15th overall pick in the 1988 NBA draft. Grant played 11 seasons in the NBA, for the SuperSonics, Los Angeles Clippers, Portland Trail Blazers, and Miami Heat. His NBA career averages were 8.6 points, 6.4 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per game. Grant was known for his playmaking ability and defensive tenacity.
