Aung Ko (politician)
Aung Ko is a Burmese politician and former military officer. He served as a member of the Pyithu Hluttaw, the lower house of the Assembly of the Union (Myanmar's parliament), representing the Ottwin constituency from 2011 to 2021. He was a member of the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP). Prior to entering politics, Aung Ko served in the Myanmar military, achieving the rank of General. During his time in parliament, he participated in various committees and debated legislation. Following the 2021 Myanmar coup d'état, his role and activities have been subject to scrutiny and reports regarding his affiliation with the military junta.
