Strogino (Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line)
Strogino is a Moscow Metro station on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya Line (Line 3). It is located in the Strogino District of Northwestern Administrative Okrug, Moscow, Russia. The station opened on January 7, 2008, as part of the extension of the line from Park Pobedy to Mitino.
The design of Strogino station features a single island platform and a vaulted ceiling decorated with lighting fixtures intended to evoke the image of a river. The walls are clad in light-colored marble. The station has two vestibules, each connected to the platform by escalators and stairs.
The station's location is near the Moscow River and several residential areas, making it a significant transportation hub for the district. Its proximity to parks and recreational areas also contributes to its importance for leisure travel. The area surrounding Strogino station has seen significant development since its opening, including residential buildings, commercial establishments, and improved public transport infrastructure.
