Doubting Thomas (band)

Doubting Thomas was a Canadian industrial music duo, active primarily in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The band consisted of cEvin Key and Dwayne Goettel, both prominent members of the industrial band Skinny Puppy. Doubting Thomas was considered a side project for Key and Goettel, allowing them to explore more experimental and ambient soundscapes compared to the more structured and aggressive sound of Skinny Puppy.

Their music often incorporated samples, synthesizers, and unconventional instrumentation, resulting in a sound that was both atmospheric and unsettling. They released several albums and EPs, often with cryptic titles and artwork that reflected the abstract and experimental nature of their music.

While Doubting Thomas was a side project, it was a significant outlet for Key and Goettel's creative experimentation, contributing to the evolution of industrial music and influencing other artists in the genre. Following Goettel's death in 1995, the project was effectively discontinued.
