Avital (moshav)
Avital is a moshav in northern Israel. It is located in the Gilboa Regional Council, near the city of Afula.
The moshav was founded in 1953 by immigrants from Morocco and Iraq. Its name, Avital, is derived from the Bible and means "Father of Dew." It is located near Mount Gilboa, where King Saul fought the Philistines.
The main agricultural activities of the moshav are field crops, orchards, and livestock. In addition to agriculture, some residents work in nearby industrial areas. Avital is a relatively small and close-knit community.
