Nogi Station (Shimane)

Nogi Station is a railway station on the San'in Main Line in Yasugi, Shimane Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West).

Overview

Nogi Station has two side platforms serving two tracks. The station building is located on the north side of the tracks and is connected to the opposite platform by an overhead bridge. The station is unstaffed. A waiting room is available for passengers.

History

Nogi Station opened on April 18, 1909, when the San'in Main Line was extended from Tamatsukuri to Yonago.

Surrounding Area

The area around Nogi Station is primarily residential. There are some small businesses and shops located nearby. The station is also located near the Yasugi City Nogi Culture Hall.
