USS S-41
The USS S-41 (SS-146) was an S-class submarine of the United States Navy. She was commissioned on April 16, 1923.
S-41 spent much of her early career operating in the Pacific Ocean, participating in fleet exercises and training maneuvers. She was stationed at Pearl Harbor prior to World War II.
Following the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941, S-41 conducted numerous war patrols in the Pacific Theater. These patrols took her to various locations, including the waters around Japan and the Solomon Islands. While her patrols were often challenging and dangerous, S-41 is not credited with sinking any enemy vessels.
The USS S-41 was decommissioned on October 30, 1945, following the conclusion of World War II. She was struck from the Navy List on November 13, 1945, and sold for scrapping in 1946.
