Mowsley

Mowsley is a village and civil parish in the Harborough district of Leicestershire, England. It is located approximately 7 miles (11 km) east of Market Harborough.

Historically, Mowsley was an agricultural community, and while farming remains present, the village has evolved into a more residential area. The population, according to the 2011 census, was 127.

Notable features of Mowsley include St. Nicholas' Church, a Grade II listed building. The village also contains a small village hall that serves as a center for community activities.

The origin of the name "Mowsley" is thought to derive from Old English, potentially meaning "Mouse's clearing" or "Mouse's woodland."
