USS Minah (AMc-204)

The USS Minah (AMc-204) was an Accentor-class coastal minesweeper built for the United States Navy during World War II. Laid down on November 13, 1941, by the Fulton Shipyard, Antioch, California, she was launched on May 23, 1942, sponsored by Mrs. W. A. Barrons, and commissioned on September 26, 1942, Lieutenant, Junior Grade, B. F. Hurlbut, USNR, in command.

Minah was assigned to the 12th Naval District and conducted minesweeping operations and coastal patrol duties along the California coast for the duration of the war. Her primary function was to ensure the safety of shipping lanes and harbors from potential mine threats. She operated primarily out of San Francisco.

Following the end of World War II, the Minah was decommissioned on December 14, 1945, at Mare Island Naval Shipyard. Her name was struck from the Navy List on January 8, 1946, and she was sold on November 5, 1947.
