N11 (South Africa)

The N11 is a national route in South Africa that connects Ladysmith in KwaZulu-Natal with the Groblersbrug Border Post in Limpopo, on the border with Botswana. It is a significant north-south road, traversing through several provinces and connecting various towns and cities.

The route begins in Ladysmith, intersecting with the N3 national freeway. From there, it travels northwards through towns such as Newcastle, Volksrust, and Ermelo in Mpumalanga. It continues through Limpopo province, passing through or near towns like Roossenekal, Marble Hall, and Mokopane (Potgietersrus). The N11 then terminates at the Groblersbrug Border Post, providing a key transport link between South Africa and Botswana.

The N11 serves as an important corridor for freight transport, particularly for goods moving between the industrial regions of Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal and Botswana. It also facilitates tourism and general transportation within and between the provinces it traverses.

The road is maintained by the South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL), which is responsible for the upkeep and development of the national road network.
