Traxx (film)
Traxx is a 1988 American science fiction action comedy film directed by Jerome Gary. The film stars Shadoe Stevens as Traxx, an intergalactic law enforcement officer who arrives on Earth in the small town of Hadleyville, Arizona. He is equipped with advanced technology and a mission to capture a dangerous criminal from another planet.
Upon arrival, Traxx finds himself ill-equipped for Earth's customs and laws. He is befriended by a teenage boy named Walter (played by Willard E. Pugh), who helps him navigate the local culture and adapt his methods to handle Earth-based crime. Traxx's advanced weaponry and unconventional tactics cause chaos and confusion among the local police force, led by Sheriff Decker (played by Robert Davi), who initially views him with suspicion.
The film's plot involves Traxx's pursuit of the alien criminal and his efforts to stop a group of local criminals involved in a robbery. The humor derives from Traxx's fish-out-of-water experiences and his use of futuristic technology in a mundane setting. Traxx blends action sequences with comedic situations and quirky characters.
The film was not a major box office success upon its release, but it has since gained a cult following, particularly among fans of 1980s science fiction and comedy films.
