Glen Boss

Glen Boss (born 20 September 1969) is a retired Australian thoroughbred horse racing jockey. He is widely regarded as one of Australia's most successful and accomplished jockeys, known for his exceptional riding skills, particularly in high-pressure Group 1 races.

Boss is most famous for his three consecutive Melbourne Cup victories aboard Makybe Diva in 2003, 2004, and 2005, a feat unmatched in the race's history. He also won the Melbourne Cup in 2000 aboard Makybe Diva's sire, Faina.

Throughout his career, Boss accumulated over 90 Group 1 victories, including wins in the Cox Plate, Golden Slipper, Caulfield Cup, and numerous other prestigious races across Australia and internationally. He rode extensively in Singapore for several years, achieving considerable success there.

He retired from race riding in November 2021. Following his retirement, he transitioned into media work, providing commentary and analysis for racing broadcasts. He remains a prominent figure in the Australian racing industry.
