Tom Emmer
Tom Emmer (born March 3, 1961) is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Minnesota's 6th congressional district since 2015. He is a member of the Republican Party.
Emmer previously served as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011, representing District 15B. He was the Republican nominee for Governor of Minnesota in 2010, losing to Mark Dayton.
In the U.S. House, Emmer has served on the House Financial Services Committee. He is known for his conservative political positions. He has been involved in discussions and legislative efforts related to cryptocurrency regulation and digital assets. He also served as House Majority Whip for the 118th Congress.
