Thomas Wood (bishop of Bedford)

Thomas Wood (died 1874) was an Anglican bishop and archdeacon.

He was educated at Exeter College, Oxford, where he matriculated in 1809, graduating B.A. in 1812, M.A. in 1815, and B.D. and D.D. in 1839.

Wood was the Archdeacon of Middlesex from 1844 to 1869, and he was consecrated Bishop of Bedford, a suffragan bishop in the Diocese of London, in 1869. He served in this role until his death in 1874. He was also Rector of St. Peter, Cornhill.

He is buried at Highgate Cemetery.
