Izi (rapper)
Izi is the stage name of Diego Germini (born June 24, 1995), an Italian rapper and actor from Genoa, Italy. He gained significant popularity in the Italian hip hop scene in the mid-2010s.
Izi's career began with participation in freestyle competitions. He rose to prominence through his involvement with the Wild Bandana collective, a group of rappers from Genoa. His music is characterized by its introspective lyrics, often touching upon themes of social issues, personal struggles, and the realities of urban life. He is known for his distinctive flow and vocal delivery.
Izi released his debut album, Fenice, in 2016, which was a commercial success. He followed this with subsequent albums including Pizzicato (2017), Aletheia (2019), and Izi (2022), all of which contributed to his growing recognition and solidified his position as a prominent figure in contemporary Italian rap.
Beyond his music career, Izi has also ventured into acting, appearing in films such as Zeta (2016), where he played a fictionalized version of himself, and Materia Oscura (2019).
