The Lair (2022 film)

The Lair is a 2022 British-American monster horror film directed by Neil Marshall. The film stars Charlotte Kirk, Jonathan Howard, Jamie Bamber, and Tanji Beatty.

The plot revolves around Royal Air Force pilot Lt. Kate Sinclair, who is shot down over Afghanistan. Seeking refuge, she stumbles upon an abandoned underground bunker, which inadvertently unleashes a deadly, genetically engineered species of man-made creatures known as Ravagers. Sinclair must then team up with a small group of American soldiers to survive and stop the creatures from reaching the outside world.

The Lair is noted for its practical effects and action sequences, typical hallmarks of Marshall's directing style. While featuring a horror premise, it incorporates elements of action, science fiction, and military thriller genres. The film was released in theaters and on demand in October 2022.
