Tao Lin

Tao Lin (born July 2, 1983) is an American novelist, poet, essayist, and short story writer. He is considered a key figure in the alt lit movement.

Lin is known for his minimalist style, deadpan humor, and exploration of themes such as alienation, internet culture, drug use, and the search for meaning in a digitized world.

His published works include the novels Eeeee Eee Eeee (2007), Richard Yates (2010), Taipei (2013), and Leave Society (2021); the novella Shoplifting from American Apparel (2009); the poetry collection you are a little bit happier than i am (2006); and the short story collection Bed (2007).
