Tao (musical troupe)

Tao (often stylised as TAO) is a Japanese drumming and performance ensemble known for its modern, high-energy Taiko drumming shows. Founded in 1993 by Ikuo Fujitaka, the group's performances blend traditional Japanese drumming with contemporary theatrical elements, including elaborate costumes, choreography, and stage design.

Tao’s shows are characterized by their athleticism, precision, and visual spectacle. The drummers utilize a variety of Taiko drums of different sizes and tones to create a powerful and dynamic soundscape.
