Tanjong Datu (state constituency)
Tanjong Datu is a state constituency in the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly, Malaysia. It is located within the Opar parliamentary constituency.
The constituency was created in 1969 and is currently represented by Azizah binti Dato Sri Adenan of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition.
Tanjong Datu encompasses the westernmost point of Sarawak and is predominantly rural, with fishing and agriculture as important economic activities.
The constituency has historically been a stronghold of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition and its successor, GPS. A notable former representative was Adenan Satem, who served as Chief Minister of Sarawak. His death in 2017 triggered a by-election, which was won by his wife, Azizah binti Dato Sri Adenan.
