Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (Cambodia)

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS) is the government ministry of Cambodia responsible for organizing and implementing national policy on education, youth development, and sports. Its mandate covers all levels of education, from pre-school to higher education, as well as non-formal education and vocational training. The Ministry also oversees the development and implementation of policies related to youth empowerment, physical education, and sports development at both the national and international levels. Key responsibilities include curriculum development, teacher training, school administration, quality assurance, and promoting access to education for all Cambodian citizens. The MoEYS works in partnership with other government agencies, international organizations, and civil society groups to achieve its objectives and improve the overall quality of education, youth opportunities, and sporting achievements in Cambodia. The Minister of Education, Youth and Sport is a member of the Cambodian Council of Ministers and reports to the Prime Minister.
