Tô Lâm

Tô Lâm (born July 10, 1957) is a Vietnamese politician and a General in the People's Public Security of Vietnam. He currently serves as the Minister of Public Security of Vietnam.

Tô Lâm joined the People's Public Security Forces at a young age and rose through the ranks. He has held various key positions within the Ministry of Public Security, including Director of the General Department of Security. He has been a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam since 2016.

As Minister of Public Security, Tô Lâm is responsible for maintaining national security, combating crime, and enforcing laws in Vietnam. His tenure has been marked by a focus on cybersecurity and the suppression of dissent. He is considered a powerful figure within the Vietnamese government.
