Sulitza (Hasidic dynasty)

Sulitza is a Hasidic dynasty originating in Sulitza, Romania. It is a branch of the Vizhnitz dynasty. The dynasty was founded by Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua Hager, son of Rabbi Yisroel Hager, the Admor of Vizhnitz. Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua established his court in Sulitza after World War II, having survived the Holocaust.

Following Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua's passing, his son, Rabbi Yisrael Hager, became the Sulitzer Rebbe. He re-established the court in Bnei Brak, Israel, where it remains today. He is known for his leadership and influence within the Vizhnitz community and the broader Hasidic world.

The Sulitza dynasty maintains many of the customs and traditions of the Vizhnitz dynasty, with specific nuances and practices developed under its own leadership. It attracts followers and admirers who seek guidance and inspiration from the Rebbe and the dynasty's teachings. The emphasis is often placed on prayer, Torah study, and adherence to Hasidic principles. The Sulitzer Rebbe is consulted on a variety of matters, both personal and communal.
