Sugar (South Korean group)

Sugar was a South Korean girl group formed by Starworld in 2001. The group consisted of four members: Ayumi Lee (also known as ICONIQ in Japan), Hwang Jung-eum, Park Soo-jin, and Yook Hye-seung. Sugar debuted with their single "Sweet Love" in December 2001.

The group gained moderate popularity in South Korea and also found some success in Japan. They released several albums and singles in both Korean and Japanese. Their notable Korean albums include "Tell Me Why" (2002) and "Shine" (2003). In Japan, they released albums like "Double Rainbow" (2004) and "COLORS 4 WISHES" (2005).

In 2006, Sugar officially disbanded. Following their disbandment, the members pursued individual careers. Ayumi Lee achieved significant recognition as a solo artist in Japan under the stage name ICONIQ. Hwang Jung-eum became a successful actress in South Korea, starring in numerous television dramas. Park Soo-jin also pursued acting but later retired from the entertainment industry after marrying actor Bae Yong-joon. Yook Hye-seung continued to work in the entertainment industry in various roles.
