The film loosely adapts the storyline of Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, focusing on Guile's mission to defeat the ruthless dictator, General Bison, and rescue hostages taken by Bison's Shadaloo organization. Allied Nations forces, led by Guile, clash with Bison's army in the fictional Southeast Asian country of Shadaloo.
