Steve McDonald (cricketer)

Steve McDonald (born 11 December 1955) is a former Australian cricketer who played first-class cricket for Western Australia.

A right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler, McDonald played 25 first-class matches between 1977/78 and 1982/83. He scored 726 runs at an average of 19.62, with a highest score of 87. He also took 10 wickets at an average of 46.10, with best figures of 3/53. He typically batted in the middle order.

His most productive season was arguably 1978/79, during which he played in 10 first-class matches and scored 335 runs. While never fully establishing himself in the Western Australian side, McDonald was a consistent performer at the grade cricket level for many years.
