Yamanishi

Yamanishi Prefecture (山梨県, Yamanashi-ken) is a prefecture of Japan located in the Chūbu region of Honshu. It is a landlocked prefecture known for its mountainous landscape, including Mount Fuji, which forms part of its southern border. The capital city is Kofu.

Yamanashi is bordered by Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Shizuoka, and Nagano prefectures. The prefecture's geography significantly influences its climate and economy. The terrain is predominantly mountainous, with the Kofu Basin being the main area of concentrated population and agricultural activity.
