South Station (subway)
South Station is a major transportation hub in Boston, Massachusetts, and includes a subway station served by the MBTA's Red Line. Located beneath the main South Station terminal, the subway station provides access to intercity passenger rail (Amtrak and commuter rail), bus services, and the city's subway system.
The Red Line platform is situated deep underground, accessible via escalators and elevators. The station's design is utilitarian, typical of older subway stations on the Red Line.
South Station subway station is a critical transfer point for commuters and travelers arriving in Boston via other modes of transportation and looking to access other parts of the city via the subway.
