Social Democratic Party (Latvia)

The Social Democratic Party (Latvia) (Latvian: Latvijas Sociāldemokrātiskā Strādnieku partija, LSDSP) is a social democratic political party in Latvia. Founded in 1904, it is one of the oldest political parties in the country and has played a significant role in Latvian politics throughout the 20th and 21st centuries.

History:

The LSDSP was established as a Marxist party advocating for workers' rights and social justice within the Russian Empire, of which Latvia was then a part. It played a key role in the 1905 Revolution in Latvia.
