Aurecon

Aurecon was an international engineering and infrastructure advisory company. Headquartered in Australia, it provided engineering, management, and specialist technical services for public and private sector clients globally.

The company operated across diverse sectors including infrastructure (transport, water, energy, built environment), resources and manufacturing. Its services encompassed the entire asset lifecycle, from initial planning and design through to construction, operation, and decommissioning.

Aurecon was formed in 2009 through the merger of three established engineering firms: Africon (South Africa), Connell Wagner (Australia), and Ninham Shand (Australia).

In 2019, Aurecon rebranded as Zutari, a change primarily impacting its African operations. The Australian and New Zealand businesses continued to operate under the Aurecon brand until 2023. In 2023, Aurecon was acquired by GHD, another global engineering and professional services company. The Aurecon brand ceased to exist following this acquisition, with the company's operations integrated into GHD.
