Snopki

Snopki is a Polish word referring to bundles of grain or other crops, typically wheat, rye, or barley, that are gathered and tied together after harvesting. These bundles are similar to what are known as sheaves in English. Snopki were historically a common sight in agricultural landscapes, particularly before the advent of modern harvesting machinery like combine harvesters. The process of creating snopki involved cutting the grain stalks, gathering them into a manageable bunch, and then tying them together with twine or stalks of the same grain. These bundles were then often stacked together in fields to dry before being threshed to separate the grain from the straw. The word "snopki" is the plural form; the singular is "snop." The word is also used figuratively to describe a collection of things bundled together.
