Silent Witness (horse)
Silent Witness was a champion Australian racehorse, known for his remarkable undefeated streak and popularity in Hong Kong. Foaled in Australia in 1999, he was a bay gelding sired by El Moxie out of Jade Tiara.
Silent Witness was purchased by prominent Hong Kong owner Archie da Silva and trained by Tony Cruz. He began his racing career in Hong Kong in 2002 and quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with. His exceptional speed and consistency led to a record-breaking winning streak of 17 consecutive races, eclipsing the previous Hong Kong record.
His victories included prestigious races such as the Hong Kong Sprint, Queen's Silver Jubilee Cup, and the Chairman's Sprint Prize. He became a national icon in Hong Kong, drawing massive crowds to the racetrack and captivating the public with his performances.
The unbeaten run ended in 2005, but Silent Witness continued to race competitively, adding further Group 1 wins to his record.
