Sharmell
Sharmell Sullivan-Huffman (born Sharmell Michelle Sullivan; November 2, 1970), also known mononymously as Sharmell, is an American retired professional wrestling valet, dancer, and beauty queen.
She is best known for her time in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), where she managed her husband, Booker T. She also worked for World Championship Wrestling (WCW) as a Nitro Girl under the name Storm.
Sharmell's career began in the world of beauty pageants. She won the title of Miss Black America in 1991. This led to opportunities in dance, including a stint as a dancer for the Atlanta Hawks NBA team.
In WCW, she debuted as a Nitro Girl, primarily performing as a dancer during commercial breaks. She later transitioned into a storyline role as Paisley, managing the tag team Harlem Heat 2000 (Stevie Ray and Big T).
In WWE, Sharmell became an integral part of Booker T's heel persona. She adopted the role of a demanding and often overbearing wife and manager, frequently interfering in his matches and engaging in confrontations with other wrestlers. Her actions consistently garnered heat, making her a significant component of Booker T's act. Her notable storylines included feuds with Kurt Angle and The Boogeyman. She was "fired" in 2007 after a storyline involving Donald Trump.
Sharmell has since made occasional appearances in the professional wrestling world, most notably alongside Booker T. Her contributions to the wrestling industry have been acknowledged, and she has often been credited with enhancing Booker T's character development. In 2022, she was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame alongside her husband.
