Shanti (Hitomi Shimatani album)

Shanti is the sixth studio album by Japanese pop singer Hitomi Shimatani, released on September 19, 2007. It was released in two versions: a CD+DVD edition and a CD-only edition. The album reached number 13 on the Oricon charts in Japan. The title "Shanti" refers to the Sanskrit word for peace, tranquility, or bliss. The album's concept explores themes of serenity and reflection, deviating from Shimatani's earlier more energetic and dance-oriented sound. Several songs from the album were used as tie-ins for various media, including television programs and commercials.
