Shōwa-ku (昭和区) is one of the 16 wards (区, ku) of the city of Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.

Shōwa-ku is located in the central part of Nagoya City. History
Shōwa-ku was established in 1937 when Nagoya City expanded its administrative divisions. The name "Shōwa" refers to the Shōwa era (1926-1989), during which the ward was founded. Shōwa-ku is relatively flat and lies on the Nagoya Plain. No major rivers flow through the ward, contributing to its primarily residential character.
