Shōji Station (Toyonaka)
Shōji Station (少路駅, Shōji-eki) is a railway station in Toyonaka, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. It is located on the Osaka Monorail Main Line.
Overview
The station is served by the Osaka Monorail Main Line, providing connections to Osaka International Airport (Itami Airport) to the south and Kadoma-shi Station to the east. It is a relatively new station, having opened with the first section of the Osaka Monorail in 1990.
Station Layout
Shōji Station is an elevated station with two opposed side platforms serving two tracks. The platforms are fully sheltered. Escalators and elevators provide accessibility between the platforms and the ground level concourse. Ticket vending machines, ticket gates, and restrooms are located within the concourse.
Surrounding Area
The area surrounding Shōji Station is primarily residential, with some commercial developments. The station is convenient for access to nearby neighborhoods and local amenities. Osaka University's Toyonaka campus is located relatively nearby, making the station a transportation hub for students. The Senri Expo Park is also within reasonable distance, accessible via connecting transportation.
