Narayan (writer)

R.K. Narayan (1906-2001) was a leading Indian author writing in English. He is best known for his novels and short stories set in the fictional South Indian town of Malgudi.

Narayan's works are characterized by their simple prose, gentle humor, and insightful portrayal of Indian middle-class life. He explored themes of tradition versus modernity, the complexities of human relationships, and the changing social landscape of India.
