Secret Service (2008 video game)
Secret Service is a third-person shooter video game developed by Cauldron HQ and published by Activision Value. It was released in 2008 for the PC and PlayStation 2. The game puts players in the role of a United States Secret Service agent tasked with protecting the President of the United States from various threats.
The gameplay primarily involves linear levels where the player must eliminate enemies using a variety of weapons, including pistols, assault rifles, and shotguns. Certain sections require the player to escort the President or other VIPs to safety. The game features a cover system allowing the player to take cover behind objects to avoid enemy fire.
Secret Service received generally negative reviews upon release. Criticisms often focused on the game's poor graphics, simplistic AI, repetitive gameplay, and lack of originality. It was frequently compared unfavorably to other, more polished third-person shooters.
