9X Media

9X Media was an Indian media and entertainment company, primarily known for operating a network of music television channels. The network was owned by Zee Entertainment Enterprises.

Its flagship channel was 9XM, a Hindi-language Bollywood music channel. Other channels under the 9X Media umbrella included 9X Jalwa (a classic Bollywood music channel), 9X Tashan (a Punjabi music channel), and 9XO (an international music channel that later focused on Bollywood).

The company was known for its animated characters, Bade and Chote, who served as mascots and appeared in humorous interstitials between music videos on 9XM.

Over time, some of the channels ceased broadcasting, and the company’s presence in the Indian music television landscape diminished. 9XM remained its most prominent channel.
